Case study 1
Leather is a demanding, difficult fabric to work with – but it continues to grow in popularity among our customers. This chair had been designed and made to the customer’s specifications (not by us!) but the end result was uncomfortable to sit in as the angles of the back, the seat and the arms were wrong. We worked with the customer to understand the issues and then put them right.
We completely redesigned the chair, with the customer attending our workshops at every stage to ensure that the feel and comfort of the piece was right. Only when they were 100% satisfied with the piece did we begin upholstering – using the highest quality Scottish leather for the finish. The result – a chair that is now both practical and beautiful – and another happy customer.
